Sambuca is an Italian anise-flavored, usually colorless liqueur.
I tried Sambuca for the first time in Berlin last week at a bar called Sophieneck in Mitte. In Berlin, Sambuca is served with 2 coffee beans in it and is meant to be lit, then extinguished before you drink it. When you light the shot, it becomes mildly infused with the flavour of the coffee beans. Divine.
