Where We Ate: London Edition

September 8, 2014 By Whitney Love Leave a Comment

So I am finally getting around to sharing our London trip with you all – yea! This trip was extra special as it was both Øyvind’s 40th birthday trip and our summer vacation.

Here is a review of where we ate and what we ate in London this past July and a bit about where we stayed.

Where We Stayed – London

In London we stayed in the Finsbury Park Apartments, a self catering apartment building near the Finsbury Park tube station. We’ve been to London a few times together already but this time instead of staying in a hotel for 2 weeks, we decided that staying in an apartment would allow us the chance to get cosy and settle into London a bit more. Also, we really like long lazy breakfasts and having to get dressed, and go out for breakfast everyday was going to get old (real quick) so self-catering (i.e. having a fully stocked kitchen with a fridge, stove and sink) was the best option for us.

Where We Ate – London

Happy birthday Øyvind! Nothing says happy birthday like dinner in an art deco space like the Wosley in central London.
Me – trying to look posh and instead just looking sweaty.
Five Guys Burger – We ate 3 of these in 10 days. And they were worth every single calorie.

Bike powered coffee cart in Covent Garden
Falafel at Camden Market
Nitrogen ice cream at Chin Chin Labs in Camden Market

Fresh tomatoes in Selfridges
More fresh produce in Selfridges

Eating in Brixton Village
Circus in Brixton Village
The best ribs I’ve had in AGESSSSSSSS….ages. And yes I dusted those puppies off like a pro!

On the lighter side, fish in Brixton.
Some of the local brew
Cherry beer from Whole Foods

This is what happens when Øyvind tries to keep me from the coffee machine.
