I like to make this strawberry smoothie as a pre-workout drink on days when I go to the gym or when client meetings keep me too busy to et a proper meal. I don’t skip meals often, but I don’t always have time to sit down and eat properly, and smoothies make it easy to get something in my “tank”. I tend to shy away from smoothies which include milk, ice or bananas, so this recipe suits me just fine. Feel free to leave out the coconut oil if you want, but given its POWERHOUSE anti-inflammatory properties you shouldn’t.
- 475 ml (2 cups) yogurt
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon virgin coconut oil
- 150g (1 cup) strawberries, fresh or frozen
- In a blender, combine all ingredients.
- Blend until smooth and pour into glasses
- Serve and enjoy!
